Randy Sterett

Lieutenant Randy Sterett, (ret.) has dedicated 38 years to the law enforcement community. With 25 years as a bomb and hazardous materials (hazmat) technician, Lieutenant Sterett has collaborated with bomb squads, hazmat teams and SWAT teams locally as well as nationally and internationally. His passion has been to bring the public the most safe, efficient and effective response to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) threats. Co-founder one of the nation’s first and largest joint hazard assessment teams (JHAT), the team was able to bring together bomb technicians, SWAT operators, fire personnel, National Guard Civil Support, environmental and FBI WMD coordinators to protect the nearly 3.2 million Orange County residents. He also served on the National Bomb Squad Commanders Advisory Board (NBSCAB) for 10-years as a board member and chairman.

As an instructor, evaluator and consultant, Lieutenant Sterett shares his knowledge and experience, as well as gathers best practices, which he delivers to first responders all over the world.
